Conventional processes for extracting metals from ores are based on the characteristics of elements and their existence forms in nature, i.e. composition of ores. For sustainable development of society, we must improve the processes to recycle metals in scraps that are different from ores. Members of our group study physical chemistry related to production of metals (Fe, Cu, Zn, rare metals, precious metals, etc.) and develop new processes.
