・2018.08.20 New “Durability and Bioactivity Evaluation Laboratory” starts.
The durable glass group starts “Durability and Bioactivity Evaluation Laboratory” at an open laboratory space in the Industry–University Partnership Center, Ehime university.
At this laboratory, we especially evaluate corrosion resistance and bioactivity of glasses.
・2018.08.17 Experience to put nucleus into pearl oyster
Uwajima area in Ehime prefecture is proud of the largest production of Pearl Oyster for pearl culture in Japan.
Pearl culture can be said to be one of the biomaterials that Japanese people succeeded industrialize at first.
In Mayan civilization era, shells seem to have been already used for dental implants. We have studied
“Recycling and functionalizing components of pearl oyster for pearl culture”.
We experienced to put nucleus into pearl oyster with the cooperation of Miura fisheries cooperative association
and Doi Pearl for the reference of our studies in the future.
